The International Workshop on Integrated Nonlinear Microwave and Millimetre-wave Circuits (INMMiC) is a forum for promoting, discussing and spreading ideas in the field of nonlinear microwave and millimetre-wave circuits and systems. INMMiC was originally launched in Duisburg, Germany, in 1990, and it achieved the present form in Rome, Italy, in 2004. Subsequently INMMiC has been held at different venues around Europe: 2006 in Aveiro, Portugal, 2008 in Málaga, Spain, 2010 in Göteborg, Sweden, 2011 in Vienna, Austria, 2012 in Dublin, Ireland, and 2014 in Leuven, Belgium. INMMiC 2015 will be held in Taormina (Messina), Italy, on October 1st – 2nd, 2015.
INMMiC 2015 will feature a two-day archival series of oral and poster presentations with distinguished invited talks. An industrial exhibit featuring a selection of state-of-the-art microwave products, measurement instruments and CAD software will also be held. The participation of young researchers and postgraduate students is strongly encouraged. A Best Student Paper Award will be supported by the GAAS Association with 1000 € and the GAAS Silver Plaque.
Technical contents include, but not limited to, the following areas:
• High frequency nonlinear device and circuit modelling
• Nonlinear measurement techniques
• Noise characterisation and modelling for nonlinear devices
• Nonlinear simulation methods
• Optimum design methodologies for nonlinear circuits
• Linearisation techniques for circuits and systems
• Power amplifier efficiency enhancement techniques
• Circuits for emerging transceiver architectures
• Nonlinearities at terahertz frequencies
• Nonlinearities in emerging technologies
Prospective authors are invited to submit a three-page (including figures) paper in PDF format before the Abstract Submission Deadline. All papers must be submitted electronically on the conference website.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed. Authors of accepted contributions should provide a final version (three pages) of their paper before the Final Manuscript Submission Deadline. The final version of the paper will be published in the conference proceedings, and will be submitted as well to IEEE Xplore, provided it has been presented during the conference. Authors of accepted papers will be given the opportunity to submit an extended version to be considered for publication in IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques.
Authors of accepted contributions should submit a 3-page final manuscript in two-column format. As these final manuscripts will be published in IEEE Xplore database, the format of the final manuscripts should comply with the IEEE Xplore rules. Please use the manuscript template given below. For publishing the INMMiC 2015 papers in IEEE Xplore, an IEEE Copyright Transfer Form must be completed during the upload of the final paper.
Please use PDFeXpress to obtain an IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file. You need to enter 35116XP as the conference ID, and set up an account on that system.
NOTE: there should be a unique conference registration for each final paper (max. 1 paper/attendee) prior to uploading the final paper.
Final Manuscript due:
July 20th, 2015
Authors who will present papers (orally or by poster) are kindly requested to contact their session chairs 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.
Papers should be presented only by the authors.
The time for the oral presentation of regular papers including discussion is limited to 20 minutes.
A computer and video-beam projector will be at disposal during the presentation.
Authors are requested to use the INMMiC2015 Template for their presentations.
For poster presentation, a 1mX2m (width x height) board will be provided.
Posters should be legible from a distance of 1-2 meters.
Authors are requested to be present at their posters during coffee breaks and also towards the end of the lunch breaks.
The Best Student Paper Award will be supported by the GAAS Association by 1,000 € and the GAAS Silver Plaque. To be eligible, candidates must (1) be registered for the conference as a student, (2) have a major contribution in the work reported, and (3) be the contribution presenter in an oral or a poster session.
The participation of young researchers is strongly encouraged. A limited number of Young Researcher Grants are available to support participation in the Workshop. The Grant covers student registration fee and (if travelling from abroad) two nights' accommodation at the conference site. In order to apply for such grant, please follow the instructions:
To be eligible, the applicant should be an MSc or PhD student, full-time affiliated with a university. Preference is given to applicants presenting a paper at INMMiC. The application must contain a 1-page CV incl. publications, a ½-page summary of the on-going MSc or PhD thesis work, and a ½-page personal motivation for attending INMMiC. In addition, the university advisor should send an endorsement letter. Both the application (pdf format) and the endorsement letter should reach firstname.lastname@example.org by July 1st, 2015.
The results will be communicated by July 15th, 2015.
